MuLa: There is an event that can occur that does this. DId you skip over any event dialogs that may have informed you of the planets being upgraded?

I don't think it is that because it happend again. There is about 10-20 new planets. In order to 'see' the planets I had to save, exit, reload other wise the planets were invisable. Any star that did not have 4 or 5 planets around it ended up with the new magical planets. There are a few stars this has not happend yet. This second wave of planet were all level 15 or 16 this time. I have a saved game I can send you if you like just tell me were.

The event upgrades a planet not create new ones right? I don't recall seeing the event but I'll look for them.

I've seen the mysterious planet upgrades too. I was playing a small map with abundant planets and abundant habitable planets. I was frustrated to find that ALL of the stars near my homeworld were void of habitable planets. Just a few weeks into the game, I looked at the zones of control on the minimap and noticed that all of the "empty" stars had been occupied by my enemies. Once I got a ship there to re-explore the area, there were plenty of habitable worlds but the enemy had occupied them already. Some were 14, but not all of them. I did not save and reload the game before the problem happened. I don't have a save game because it was quite a while ago. I'm sure that I saw that happen before the 1.2 beta was released.

I also did not see any event pop up, and I generally read everything because I'm like that. I've seen events that will upgrade a single planet, but I've never seen anything that upgrades most of the planets arround three different stars all at the same time.

May have been mentioned before but...

Twice so far, the Torian computer player has suddenly jumped from a few thousand BC to a very large digit number (somewhere around 9 or ten digits on the diplo screen). When it did this, I was unable to attempt to trade for its wealth b/c moving the trade BC slider skipped around seemingly randomly in # of digits and sign, continuously trying to reset to far left. The value displayed was obviously the max possible displayable value, as it remained constant for the rest of both games.

The first time it was no big problem b/c they were so lo-tech. The second time they were a major contender.

Basically, they were buying one improvement/upgrade per planet per turn, while rushing one ship per planet per turn.

Sadly I kept no error log or such.... I know not much help. The only thin I can recall is that in both cases I had recently spread xeno-ethics around the galaxy to liven things up.

1. Bug: If I move a rally point in the middle of my turn, ships moving to that point do not move, and the "turn/skip" button is missing. This means I must right click on the rally point as the focus moves to each ship.

Like Mike said I have had this bug quite many times too and especially in later part of the game. Early on moving rally points the ships follow happily to their new destination. Later in the game they basicly stop moving so you have to select manually the rally point for each ship.

I donĀ“t know if you can count it a bug but a major irritation none the less. Planet Invasion sounds are loud as ****. Having relaxing music going on and then having your speakers scream in Invasion kinda brakes things up. Anyway SD you could turn it down abit, or give us the file name, so we could tone it down?

For some reason, when ever I "Upgrade All Ships Of This Class", it's only costing 10% of what it says the actual value will be. For example, I upgraded 57 Cherub MK2 to Cherub MK3, which said the total cost would be 25000bc. I had 15000bc in my coffers, but thought, "What the hell? I've got a war on. I can't wait to destroy the Iconians..." So, I did, prepared to take the -10000bc hit for a few turns till it built back up. But, my treasury went down to 12500bc instead.

I still have the jewlery vanishing bug when upgrading ships.

Is anything going to be done about this in the new version? I personally never had this problem before 1.2 beta but now it happens in all of my games. It only effects ships brought in from previous games or when i reload my game from a saved game. All the jewelry disappears from my ships when i go to upgrade them so i have to redesign them from scratch.

For those still having the jewelry vanishing bug: Make sure you're not playing a saved game. Any game started in 1.2a will still have the faulty "bMetaverseGame == true" flag, which is causing the bug.

So you've got to complete any game you play in one sitting?

Any game started in 1.2a

Actually, I only started getting this bug when I upgraded to v1.2beta....it affects any ship i made in any previous save game from 1.2b or before.

I'm also having a strange thing in relation to ship battles. I have yet to see more than 2 ships in a battle, so even if I have a fleet of say two ships and I attack a planet, it'll just show a quick animation of the explosions, no battle vid screen rather than show both ships in my fleet and the defending ship.

same thing with space battles, if I have a fleet of say 3 ships and I attack a fleet of one, it does the same thing as above most of the time. Sometimes it does this when attacking frieghters as well

edit: nevermind, I found out that it was actually an options setting I had checked and not an actual bug

I can verify that I have a similer bug as well. I downloaded the latest patch last night and started a new game as the Thalan's in a Large galaxy for the first time. I can't say that I actually checked the math the entire game of course, but there were several large Upgrade all the Ships in this Class I made that did not end up costing me as much as they should have.

On another note, have there been any changes to the AI that would make it flip to friendly real quick? I was playing for an Influence Victory was Neutral and had only the Drengins friendly with me cause I had given them a bunch of old ships to them in their war with the strongest military race at the moment, the Torians. Both the Torians and the Korx were "Cool" towards me because I had been pushing their borders and my military was a bit week. I switched over to building medium hull fighters for a while and got my military up a bit and all of the sudden everyone was friendly so I won the game by just making an alliance with all three. I haven't played the game for an Influence Victory before, but I was thinking the AI would be more upset with me for trying to flip their planet and push their borders. The AI was set to Challenging.

yes stardock has bugs alright & they shouldn't make ppl have to registar & DOWNLOAD this just for downloading one of their sofytwares & have a question to ask

I just upgraded all my medium size ships (~50) for a total of about 90.000 bc, the ships were upgraded in the same turn and 0bc were subtracted from my empire treasure. (never had this happen in 1.11)

Don't know if it's been reported, but this bug has been around for a while.
I'm in a game, and restore a previous version.
Sometimes the range calculations get whacked out and a move that was OK before (1 space even) is now out of range. I go back to windows and restart, loading that save, and everything is OK.

Ok one final one from me

This one is not a bug as such but is annoying enough to warrant mention.. Could you please alter the postioning of the star/planet names so theyappear slightly lower down! As you can see in the enclosed screenie any name above 'Blud' for your planets name and the icon and name merge into one Please alter this for the upvoming 1.2 release!!!

Thanks
