Hi, I am looking for a free HTML/PHP editor and could use a pointer in the right direction please.

I used to use Object Edit that came free in Object Desktop but my subscription for that has now finished and i am not in the financial position to pay for the suite just to get that editor again

So if any of you know of a program that will do the job for me please post a link and let me know.

Many thanks

AFAIK you should still retain access to the version that was current when your sub ended.

Personally I just use ConTEXT which is freeware. No fancy stuff like you'd find in Visual Studio though, just syntax highlighting really.

ConTEXT rocks as well as Notepad++ (my current editing weapon of choice). http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/site.htm Nothin' fancy... just a killer editor IMO.

Used to use PHP Editor: http://paginas.terra.com.br/informatica/php_editor/index_en.html another nice app with a little more language integration (accessing PHP manual for instance).

I have to agree with DarkStarman, Notepad++ is awesome and I would recommend it to anyone.

Something kind of off topic, has anyone see the way the source viewer from Google's Chrome works? It's pretty nice.

You can e-mail support@stardock.com.  If you subscription has expired, you are able to keep the applications you had at the time.
